Boon Tong Kiat Singapore Chicken Rice

The prices were quite high and not justified in my opinion. Secondly, the restaurant was always crowded and there was very little space to move around. This made it difficult to enjoy the meal comfortably. Additionally, finding a parking lot was a major challenge as the restaurant is located in a busy area. The tastes of the chicken rice were okay, but not particularly noteworthy. If you are a die-hard fan of chicken rice, then you might want to give it a try at least once. However, I found that the crispy pork dishes were much better than the chicken options. Overall, I would give the tastes a 3/5 stars rating. In conclusion, while the chicken rice restaurant is not a bad option, there are definitely better and more affordable alternatives available. I would recommend trying some of the other dishes on the menu if you do visit, but be prepared for a crowded and cramped dining experience.

Approved this delicious roasted pork/duck with garlic rice as a Malaysian born and raise! 😍😋 A bite fo rice + meat, a sip of herbal Chinese soup to remind you the tastes of home in Thailand 🇹🇭 Variety food and beverage choices on the menu, simple tasty meal with good price! The wanton and steamed chicken are so so for me, but no harms to try! If you take away, remember ask for utensils. They also gave you a big pack of MSG soup in plastic bag.

Hidden gem in Thonglor, I kid you not. Been passing this unassuming place many times and finally made a move. Nice menu with plenty to chose from, drinks and food wise. Food was really good, clean and tasty. Portions were reasonable. Prices one of the best in this neighborhood. Mind you, in the afternoon some dishes are not sold out.

Chicken rice is apparently the star when I was dining there as almost everyone was ordering it. The price seems reasonable for the portion of it. The complimentary soup was tasty too. This place provided a large portion of chicken rice chilli (yums) and the usual thai chilli along with garlic. Had the bak kut teh soup (note it's herbal style) with generous amount of pork, mushrooms and vegetables. The rice was tasty too. However deducting a star off as the soup and food probably has too much MSG added! I felt thirsty halfway during the meal, which was very uncomfortable.

One of my fave place for lunch! Boon Tong Kiat is simply like the moms and pops place that everybody loves. Serving Singapore style chicken rice as well as others. I always go for their signature boiled chicken with fragrant rice. The chicken is so tender and juicy, perfectly paired with ginger & garlic rice and served with a savory broth. It’s quiet packed during weekdays, so better to come early or do a takeaway.

Form without substance... Looks similar but unfortunately lacklustre in taste. For the price, I hoped for a little more but sainz. Hokkien mee no broth umami and wok hei, chicken rice not fragrant, Laksa has no dried shrimp and diff ingredients, carrot cake is neither MJ- Black or white. A for effort but overall D- disappointed to have 🇸🇬 as description. Good svc though. 👍🏻
